We've prepared you a tutorial on how to add sections to other pages or we can do it for you with a custom installation add-on.
Excellent question! Unfortunately, when updating a theme, any code you've added yourself will be removed. But the section can easily be re-added! You'd have to re-add the Abra file(s) but the data should remain intact after you re-add the file.
